I have a miniature schaunzer who will be 2 in March. She's a very lovable dog. The only problem that I am having is that she holds her poop. She does not do this all the time but at least once a month...like a cycle. When she is not in her 'cycle' you take her out...she uses the bathroom and is given a treat and we are all happy. When she is in her cycle she holds her poop. She will be bent over with the need to use it but refuse to. She will stand with both legs close and back hunched. She will sit back on her tell to hold it when she can't stand to hold it any longer. She will hold it for days. Sometimes I'm lucky and when she decides to go it will be when I take her out..or she will do it in her crate and then throw up from the smell of it. She will also go out and poop a little and then come back in the house holding the rest...she will not let it all out. This has put stress on my hold household. Other than that she is a wonderful pup. She is loving and obedient most of the time. If there is someone out there that can help me...please do so. I have come to my wits end and I am now thinking about letting her go...PLease Help!!

You really need to take her to the vet. By what you are saying it sounds like she may have a serious problem.
