A Visitor asked the following question on 6/27/2007
I have a Min Pin who is 6 years old and has developed a "swollen" anal area.It looks like it is protruding out.In the past she has had impacted anal glands but this is different.Not near her anal gland area at all.About a week ago she coughed up a 4" elongated hairball and has been low key since then. Her stools have been normal but urine is dark.Any suggestions of what it could be?

you need to take her to the vet and have her checked. why are you waiting around on here for an answer?
