A Visitor asked the following question on 12/9/2006
We are thinking of adopting a male 2-3 year old min-pin and we are wondering how difficult it will be to train this dog. At the animal refuge, we have taken him out and he walks well on a leash, lets us touch his paws but will not let us open his mouth. He starts growling if you try and force him. We would say a trong "no" and try again and it would take longer for him to growl but we never were able to open his mouth. So, I am wondering if this is a bad sign? He was so good other then that, didn't bark at other dogs (was interested in them, though :)) and he let us pick him up.
Any advice would be greatly apreciated! Thanks in advance for all of your help!
