Is it dangerous for min pins to breed with large breed dogs? Can the pups grow to adequate size?

3/16/06 First of all, why would you want to breed a min pin with another breed anyway? If you are asking is it dangerous for a large breed dog to mate with a female min pin then the answer is yes absolutely. The male should always be smaller than the female. If it is the other way around -- good luck on the breeding. Most male min pins can not mount a larger breed adequately. As for the size of the pups-- it will be all up to nature. When you start to cross breed you never know what you may get and what effects it will have on the offspring. I would recommend not to attempt the breeding at all. Tonya
