I have a 6 month old female and she is showing all the signs of being in heat. Is this not to young to be in heat.

No it is not to young, it is not uncommon for a bitch to come into heat for the first time anywhere between 5-9 months. I know that many novice people don’t realize that a female can also become pregnant at this age, which is not a good age to breed her.
