When a female goes into heat, how long should she be left with the male for conception.

If you are going to keep it with the male only leave her in with him until the first tie. After that tie sperate them for a day and put them back in together. Wait one more day and see if she will take again. by doing it this way you pretty much guarantee a good conception rate.

a female should never be left with a male. there is more to breeding than throwing two dogs together and damage can be done if not done correctly.
