I have an 8 mth old male purebred yellow lab. I am thinking about breeding him. At what age can this be done, and how do i get started? Can someone direct me.

he will be ready to go in a couple of months, but don't. You do not want to breed until he has all of his health clearances and he can not be hip certified by OFA until he is 24 months old. You will also need to certify elbows and eyes. You will also need to develope a contract and the rules for the bitch that you are going to breed. Lastly what are you going to do to improve the breed.
