A Visitor asked the following question on 8/24/2004
havanese seem to completely match my desires in a companion dog, but it is most critical that the dog be well house trained. A very occasional mistake could be tolerated but not a habit of house wetting. Of course the dog would be given copious opportunities to go outside. Any advice? Jan G

Although toy dogs are harder to house train that big dogs many pet owners have been able to completely house train their toy dog. Havanese are not any different than any other toy dog it depends on how well the owner knows how to house train the dog. With patience any dog can be trained. So I guess the answer to your questions is how well educated are you in the house breaking of a dog?
