the vet says she needs an operation whe i contacted the breeder i was told she couldnt have as her mum n dad never and was also told that she should not be operated on untill at least 7mths old and it can always come back im stuck as to what to do

Hi:
We made the mistake and had our female operated on too early. The end result is, that she has to have a second surgery to fix the first. It must not be cherry eye. I would give the dog some time to grow into their face and skin and see if that does not resolve the problem. If not, I would get a second opinion of a vet that specializes in Great Danes. Good Luck
