We try to leave the puppies on their mother till they are 6 weeks old. Sometimes due to the mother not wanting to feed them they are removed around 4 1/2 to 5 weeks. We like to make sure they recieve all of the inmuity from their mother during the time of the 1st shots.

It depends on the size of the litter, and the health of the mom. They are "weaned" (gradually taken off Mom) not just pulled away immediately.
