I am getting a Great Dane in a few weeks. I don't necessarily want his ears cropped, is this just a matter of choice?
How old should the puppy be, just in case?

Great Danes ears were org. cropped because they were used for hunting and the pigs would rip their ears. Now it is done more for cosmetics, however it does also help prevent ear problems such as fungus and ear mites (if kept natural just make a point of cleaning their ears regularly).
