A Visitor asked the following question on 7/31/2006
We are considering getting a Great Dane as I have heard they are very gentle and good with kids. We want a big dog and one that is good indoors, however, I am concerned about shedding. Please give your honest opinion.

All dogs shed, Danes do however have a short coat so it seem they shed less. You would not have a problem with shedding is you follow regular grooming practices.
