how hot is too hot of a climate for the dog, especially if you live in new england where the climate changes from freezing to 90 degree temps. in a matter of months?

I was born in Connecticut and finished college there. The Pyrs are fine there as long as they have a shaded yard or pasture to dig a bit. They cool down quite effectively by laying their tummies in the damp dirt under a tree !
