DO golden retreivers chew and dig and run?

4/21/05 Yes, of course, they are DOGS! However, you can guide them to chew on the RIGHT things, dig in the RIGHT place and run and play where it is safe. As their human, you need to set boundaries and TRAIN YOUR PUPPY. If you get a puppy and throw it in your back yard expecting to go out at 6 months of age or older and find a well-behaved "Lassie", you will have a rude awakening, for certain! If you cannot give a puppy or dog enough attention so that they grow up to be a well-mannered member of your household and society in general, you may want to consider another type of pet. It wouldn't be fair to you OR the dog, and niether of you would be happy. Judy

5/24/05 Goldens are way hyper dogs that need a lot of attention but usually dont chew or dig, unless they are puppies, or have seperation anxiety. There are other dogs that require a lot less attention, or theres always a CAT! Megan
