A Visitor asked the following question on 8/31/2005
Hi......why does my 4 yr old gshp constantly circle counter clockwise when she isn't lying down, eating or on my lap? When she goes out to piddle she then comes to the door and circles until I open the door, when she awaits for food she circles. Everyone ask me why and I don't have an answer. We have had her for 1 year. Thanks so much for any insight you can give me.

I can't answer that. My GSPs do that too. Especially when they're about to lay down, but I believe that's from past heritage where they used to pad down their bedding area for sleeping. Sounds like excitement to me for going outside and eating.
