A Visitor asked the following question on 1/22/2007
Our bitch had seven healthy puppies seven weeks ago, however she is rather small and it was getting too much for her to feed them, so we have now taken her away, she had already stopped feeding them during the day, but would sleep with them at night, and we assume also feed them. The puppies have been eating solid food for about three weeks now, however our bitches milk supply does not seem to be drying up, what can we do?

Stop feeding her all together for 24 hours . Just water then slowly add each day third of her regular meal then the next day half and the on the fourth day her regular portion of kibble .
otherwise take her to the vet . and they will give a shot to dry her up .
