We live in seattle and we are looking for a bench B/W female and we are concerned about hips, eyes,the usual, any advise for a first time ess owner? breaders to call or to stay away from, any input will help. Thank you brianwhinhan@msn.com

have you found your puppy yet? You should ask the breeder for and OFA( for hips) certificate or and eye cerf certificate.....don't let the breeder just tell that the vet they are ok- regular vets are not specialized in the area. Also get to knoe the breeder and her deogs don't just take a puppy anything. It's too many breeders out there---- you can find someone else.....i know this comes late...you might have your puppy already.
