A Visitor asked the following question on 1/20/2005
My dog has been vomiting on ocassion and has diarreah quite often. My vet gave him antibiotics initially, but now tells me to change his food again. Is this normal? The dog is very chipper, but must be uncomfortable having this issue every couple of weeks

Instead of changing dog food,
1) give him/her plain yogurt whenever they get antibiotics
2) make up some rice and hamburger make sure hamburger is patted down to get the grease out mix it together and give it to him/her for a couple of days
That should cure him/her of the diarreah in a couple of days. If you don't have hamburger then just mix the rice with lite butter(The rice soaks up the problem in the belly)
