A Visitor asked the following question on 5/12/2008
I have a 10-year old male mini-dachshund with AKC papers. We would like to continue his line because he is very well tempered. Are we too late?

If I'm not mistaken, AKC states that you can breed males until they reach the age of 12. You may want to visit their website at www.akc.org and look under their breeder section. It has a lot of information, but I think you will find your answer.
