A Visitor asked the following question on 1/7/2008
I have a mini daschund and he is a year old and his testicles have not dropped. He does have a liver problem and he is small, could this have anything to do with this late arrival? Thanks for your help!!!

1/8/08 My vet tells me that if a puppy has not descended his testicles by 10 weeks of age, it is pretty much a lost cause. There are exceptions to the rule, but I'm sure your vet is telling you that your dog is a cryptorchid and should be neutered for his health. He is much more prone to cancer...six times more so than a normal male...if he remains unneutered. You would do best to consult your vet on this matter. Kristin

4/3/08 at this age his testicles have not dropped,he needs to be fixed.if a males testicles have not dropped by 6 months old,go ahead and get him fixed and maybe he won't lift his leg and pee on everything jennifer
