I have a 7month daschound who's in her first heat, how long does it last? Her bottom is really swollen and her nipples stick out more is this normal? This is my first puppy

Heats usually last 3 to 4 weeks. The swelling of her vulva and nipples is normal. If you dont plan on breeding her you should have her spayed. By not spaying her she could end up with many health problems in the future not to mention unwanted pregnancy.
