A Visitor asked the following question on 8/8/2007
My 9 year old female has taken to flapping her ears more and more. She sounds like a helicopter when she does this. She is bathed regularly and we always clean her ears at bathing with a gentle ear cleaner. Does anyone know why they do this?

Dachshunds can get a yeast infection in their ears and its very uncomfortable for them so they scratch and flap their ears. Fox-tails are also a problem. Both can be easily treated at your Vet.
