If you mix a long haired with a short haired do you just get one or the other or dcan you have one with a medium hair length? Can you have medium puppies if you mix a mini with a standard?

You can get both coats, but your smooth must carry for long hair. If not, you will get all smooths. In my experience, I do not like mixing coat types. Mixing long and smooth coats, creates a coat that is kind of "in between". If you breed a Standard to a miniature you will most likely get something in between, it is sometimes referred to as "Tweenie". DO NOT breed a standard male to a mini female. If you do, make an appt. for a c sect just to be safe.
