I have finally found a choc/tan puppy. Problem is, she is very tiny, and has a few white head looking bumps around her nose, the breeder says these are follicles for her whiskers and are so prominent because of her age/size. What do you think?

11/26/04 It sounds like the breeder is trying to pull a fast one on you unless there are actual whiskers coming out of those. Puppies get whiskers in while they are still nursing. SOunds more like warts to me. Sussie

12/2/04 I'm not sure where you are located but down here in Texas, the summer heat tends to be the perfect breeding grounds for flies. We have an indoor nursery with controlled heat and A/C and sometimes flies (the ones that bite get in). These little bites cause small bumps on our little ones heads. It took us a while to figure out what causes this. Revival has an product that has helped with this (Contains natural Pyrethrins. Use in Country Vet Time Mist dispenser for a metered dose every 15 minutes; lasts 30 days). I'm not sure what yout prospective puppy had, but I hope this helps other breeders with questions about some bumps on puppies heads. Sherry
