This is the first time we have bred Dachshund puppies and we were told that you keep the puppies for 10 weeks for "personality reason". No one can explain what exactly that means. So I need to know if you keep Dachshund puppies for the standard 6 weeks or for 10 weeks? Thank you!

You are not allowed to sell a puppy untill they are at least 8 weeks old. By this time they are up to date on vaccinations and worrming and are stable enough to go out on their own. Some pups it may take a little bit longer to develop and you may want to hold them back till 10 weeks. But 8 weeks is a must. No sooner do your sell them.
