signs of pregancy? and is this dangerous, for the female maltese.

This is very dangerous for the female maltese. Especially if the maltese is within standards which is 4-6 pounds. Those pups will probably be way to big for her to have naturally and may have to have a c-section. You will really need to watch her for signs of labor because if you dont she could literatly die trying to have these pups. If you are "lucky" she might not have taken and I would definately take her to the vet and have her spayed so that this does not happen again.
I would also take her to the vet and have an ultrasound done to see if she was pregnant and then take the advice from you vet.
