We have a red female who mated with either a piebal or a black and tan male... We aren't sure. Puppies are brown with a white spot on their chest. What do we have?

You most likely have a "piebald". You first need to find out what she really bred with.Does mom have any white on her?If mom has a white chest she could have just recieved that gene from mom. A dapple is a puppy of a solid color that has solid spots. Piebalds have large areas of whites all over them like Snopy the cartoon character.
