It all depends on the bitch. It can range anywhere from one up to eight. I've never heard of anyone who has had more then eight. The best way to tell is to have an x-ray done of the bitch when she is 54 days along. A vet will be able to count skulls and vertabra and give you a close number. Most females on their first litter have about 3-4.
