do daschunds get along with bigger dogs?

Like with anything else, they have to have a good association with the big dogs. The play time should be VERY supervised for the first few months. I've seen doxies live happily with German Sheperds, Great Danes, Rotties, etc. You just have to be careful that the larger dog is receptive of the doxie (eg doesn't see it as a threat to its attention), and that the doxie doesn't provoke the bigger dog thinking it's a chew toy (moreso for puppies).
