My Dachshund is 4 years old and has had 3 litters, but her spring heat has been delayed by about 30 days now, what could be the cause? Is there encouragement for 'planned pregnancy'

She could have many thing wrong, but again she may just be late, I would say she might need some time before she is bred again, you need to feed her VERY good puppy food, like IAM's ( Puppy )before she is bred and all thu the PG, she could be very low on certain Vitamins, specially calcium, when a dog is PG all the calcium from the mother is given to the puppies, so this maybe the problem, but you need to take her in for a checkup at your vets office to be sure what is going on...never hurts, better to be on the safe side.
