A Visitor asked the following question on 3/19/2007
I have a deaf double dapple and he is three years old. His last owners did not potty train him and I'm having a very difficult time doing so. Does anyone have any advice? I tried the pee pads but he was completely opposed to them and actually peed on the floor next to them.

Most dogs are actually trained with hand commands not voice. I would just set up a schedule and follow that schedule so that he knows when it is time to go outside to potty. I dont have any other answers but if you find information please pass it on to me also as I just had my first deaf double dapple in a litter and my mom is going to keep her so the information will be useful.
