My husband and i were having a discussion about our 2 dachshunds. We have a dad and son. Dad who is a miniture dachshund mated with a teacup female. She had two puppies. One passed away, and the other survived. The son who has mom's features, soft rolly skin, small face, but has dads length and colors. He is a little shorter then dad. I think the son is a miniture, and my husband is saying that he thinks he is a teacup. I was wondering what are the "technical" measurements of the miniture and the teacup. I tried to find it on different sites, but could not find any. I would appreciate any help. Thank you for your time and I look forward from getting any feedback.

3/20/07 Ok first of all how old is the puppy, is your dogs AKC? if so they could help you out with this. if not lets go on, Teacups are under .5-lbs at one year old. if your puppy is 5.5,6. or more he is a Miniature. Miniatures are 6-12 lbs Patrick
