A Visitor asked the following question on 11/16/2006
My female dachshund is definately expecting puppies and I kknow the last date that mating occurred, however, if it happened before this date I did not see it. So I was wondering how many days do most dachshunds stand for the male. I am trying to get the most accurate whelping date and I know that I will need to take her in for xrays but I think it is supposed to be about a week before whelping.

The female should allow mating to take place around the 10th day.
