A cryptorchid dog should never be bred, but should be neutered as soon as his condition becomes clear. Your vet will tell you the incidence of cancer is astronomical because of his disorder.It will be more expensive to neuter him, since the vet needs to enter the abdominal cavity to find the testicles, but it must be done. The breeder from whom you bought him should have had him vet-checked, should have disclosed his condition, and should have insisted on a spay/neuter contract.
