My female is a red and the father is a English Cream, The babies appear to be red, but could they later end up being a cream?

2/25/06 If your puppies were born that color they are red. A true English cream is born dark, sometimes black and change colors as they get older to cream Greg

3/17/06 Yes you are correct many True Creams are born Dark "sooty" color and then the color dissipates similarly to a Lipizzaner Horse. However there are True Creams who are born very very pale and are genetically Cream as well. If there is no Cream (UK import line Cream not a mismarked dilution) in the generations of the Red Dam then they will be red. What an awesome moment to have your first Cream litter and see the change!!!!! Jacqulyn
