yes they are light shedding, i hate dog hair but i can deal with it because of that fact. No only some dobes are that way due to their owners training and the personality for each dog is different.

Dobermans are very light shedders, and very easy to care for. I tell mine "bath" and they hop in the tub where I hose them down with the shower massage. A quick towel dry and the whole process takes less than 10 minutes. you can also vaccumm them with proper training .
"high strung" is a myth. Properly bred dobermans are VERY intelligent. Like children, you get out of them what you put into them.
