Hi , sometimes it is the food you feed them. Have you tried changing their food. The food called nutro is really good about helping with that, and also you can give supplements for skin like Mrs. Allen's shed stop. Also sometimes just corn oil on it helps. Just a little like teaspood at first then up to 1-3 tablespoons. Hope this helps thanks,Shirley

I raise all my pups and dogs on Salmon and Flaxseed Oil as part of their supplement program. I purchase the 1000 mg. capsules and start them as puppies, squeezing it into the side of their mouth. Soon they take them like candy! These are excellent sources of Omega 3,6,9 fatty acids, which is excellent for their skin and coat. Also, The Missing Link (supplement) is another excellent product for their coats and allergies.
Also, a food that does not contain corn or wheat can be helpful too, if they have an allergy to this. You might try some of the holistic brands, i.e. Life's Abundance (www.healthypetnet.com/cavalierpup), Canidae, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. They are all excellent. I currently feed Life's Abundance and my nine Cavaliers have no problems. I also raise my litters on it.

I would highly recommend Eaglepack Holistic Salmon or their new low allergen duck based dry canine formula. They also have wonderful supplements.
