I just bought a 3 year old spayed Cavalier. She's affectionate and loving but I noticed she will not fetch , play with any toys or do anything but want to be petted or on my lap. I'd like to play with her, can anyone advise how to train her to play with a ball, tug of war or a toy. Can anyone advise how to train a 3 year old. Thanks so much for any help.

Some Cavaliers are not interested in playing and it is just part of her personality. They typically want to be with their humans and will follow you around wherever you go.
She sounds perfectly normal to me. But take her for a Vet check just to be certain that she's healthy.
