How much excersize? A couple times a day. Time will be different with size and age. But a good rule: Play with them or walk/run with them, enough that they want to take a nape, when they are through.... If rough housing, make sure they learn the command CALM, and hold them firmly till they obey....If you have any continued undesirable behavior, time out works, with a one word command such as CALM, HUSH etc. If they don't obey, the laundry room, bathroom, or a crate works. (somewhere not used for sleeping, play or pleasure )... My dogs go to the bathroom immediately, on the command "TIME OUT" and sometimes go to time out on their own if they know they have done something bad. 5 minutes or less depending on size....Holding a puppy till they obey is usually very effective.
