A Visitor asked the following question on 11/26/2006
I have a 3 mo. female American Cocker. Why would my puppy eat dirt, tree bark, and root around in the yard eating little seeds etc. We feed her what it says to feed + more Also it is a good quality dog food dry.

Puppies are like human babies...they put EVERYTHING in their mouths. They are exploring their world. Chewing also helps to soothe their gums if they are teething. You may want to keep plenty of (safe) toys available and your most valued possessions out of reach :o)
