i have a cocker spaniel who is 8 years old.he has developed it in both his eyes.what treatment should he be given?is surgery the only treatment?

Surgery is the only best way to treat. There are meds you can give I believe. I help with a rescue and we had a Yorkie with cataracts and they gave her drops. Find a good vet that knows a lot about the eyes. But surgery is the best way though, sorry to hear the news! Good Luck!
