5/23/05 It all depends on the quality of the pup- meaning health clearnaces, written guarantees etc. AKC pups from a quality breeder-$800 to $1000. Hope this helps. Dyane Dyane

6/4/05 The average price of a good quality pup is $800- $1100. That includes all guarantees from the breeder. The price is the last thing you should look at, it should be the relationship with the breeder that is important. YOu are purchasing a relationship as well as a pup Robyn Haskin Robyn

5/3/06 Don't think about price, think about an addition to your family. A chessie is probably one of the best investments you will make. Candace

6/3/06 A litter of pups from Proven Field Dogs (Master Hunters and/or Field Trial Champions and with a pedigree that includes with some of the same)can range in price from $800 up to $1500. Of course any CBR pup you purchase should come from dogs with health clearances and the pup should come with a written guarantee, for same. Dom & Norene

10/19/09 The pup should come from lines clear of Hip dysplasia and hereditary eye problems. Remember the reputable breeder has done all these clearances for your pups desired outcome. Some are also testing for DM. I would say in most cases anywhere from $850.00 to $1500. with guarantee's would be in the ball park, and of course the pedigree can affect the price range. Karen
