Our 8 year old is now going blind. Our sher-pei has gain exccesive weight over a 7 month period, has swollen hocks, has a insatible appetite and now is going blind. She's currently being treated for thyrome condition. Nothing seems to be working and she's getting worse. She's sleeping all the times and has rapid shallow breathing. My brother-in-law's friend also had a shar-pei that he had to put to sleep because it had some disease call pienent (excuse spelling). Can you offer any suggestions or help? It would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.
