i have a 5 year old male chi and a 7 month old female chi. my female (tinkerbell) is having her first heat and i am scared that my male has mounted her. is there a danger to her if she does get prego. at an early age?

Yes, there are added health risks when breeding an immature female. She has not grown completely herself so to have her bred and be responsible for growing a litter of puppies can put some strain on her body. You also have to think that c-section is a very real risk. Do you have the $1,000 it may cost if she needs a c-section because she just can't have them on her own? I would keep them seperated! Do whatever you need to do but don't let him get to her unless you are prepared for the consequences that may follow. You say he has mounted her but have they tied? You only have to worry that she may be pregnant is if she was tied to him. Hope that helps!
