A Visitor asked the following question on 8/21/2008
My chihuaha will be one on August 31st, 2008 and has his adult teeth but never lost any of his front baby teeth and eye teeth. The front baby teeth are not in the way of the adult teeth, they came in straight and normal. Is this going to be a problem for him.

I am surprised your breeder that you purchased your chi from did not explain the teeth situation in chihuahuas...or really any toy breed. Most toy breed puppies need to go to the veterinarian at between 6-8 months old and if they still have baby teeth they need to be extracted. If they are not, they will cause many problems such as causing the bite to go off, overcrowding and coming in crooked, and most of all...they'll get rotten and infected and cause bad breath among other things. So most definitely take the dog to your vet and get the deciduous teeth pulled.
