A Visitor asked the following question on 9/13/2007
I'm VERY seriously considering adopting a "teacup" Chihuahua. Before I do, I would like to know what health issues they have. I'm not in the best health, and if they need much more than food, water, walking and lots of love, I won't get it because I wouldn't be able to care for it properly. Any info would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

There is NO teacup. All chihuahuas are a toy breed. Some are just smaller than others. The smaller the dog, the more concerns there are. Possible sugar drops, leading to tremors and if
not treated, can lead to siezures and death.
