My chi/jack russel is in heat and 2 1/2 yrs old 910 pounds). I have a small stud in heat. My girl just growls at him. How can I make her feel more comfy to mate?

Studs do not go in heat. You need to do research Before breeding. A female is not receptive just because she is in heat. Usually day 10 to day 15 is when she will be receptive. She will growl when not ready. Read Successful Dog Breeding, available on www.amazon.com
