A Visitor asked the following question on 5/3/2007
Is 6 weeks too soon for puppis to leave their mother and go to a new home???? The breed is toy/standard smooth fox terriers

I would not let them go til 8 weeks. They can be weaned at 6 weeks, but AKC does not allow selling a pup under 8 weeks. I live in Maine and we have a State law that we canot sell a pup before 7 weeks. You should check your State's laws.
