MY CHIHUAHUA RECENTLY HAD THREE ADORABLE PUPPY'S. SINCE THE PUPPIES WERE BORN, MY MALE HAS BEEN REFUSING FOOD. HE'S ACTING NORMAL AS FAR AS EVERYTHING ELSE GOES. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS HAPPENING ALL OF A SUDDEN. IT IS REALLY SCARING ME!!! HAS ANYONE EVER HAD THIS KIND OF EXPERIENCE WITH THEIR DOGS? WHAT CAN I DO TO GET HIM TO EAT? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!!

11/5/06 first why would your male be coming in contact with your female and newborn puppies...no other dog then the female should be near them. your male will not starve himself, he's just throwing a pity party for himself because theres babies around. you need to be tougher and smarted then the dog and not give in to it's not eating...it will eat when it's hungry enough. Unless you've brought a sickness into your home and your dog has not been properly vaqccinated then the dog may be sick and will most likely die because if you didnt have the money to vaccinate your not going to have the money to do proper vet care. 2/27/07 My Chihuahuas are sometimes fussy. I do get concerned if it is for more than a day. I found a new food that they love. It was formulated by a vet especially for Chihuahuas. Royal Canin (dry) Chihuahua. I get it at Pet CO. Ruth
