A Visitor asked the following question on 9/16/2006
I have a male and a female chihuahua. My female recently gave birth to three beautiful puppies. Since the birth, my male refuses food, even his favorites. He's acting normal in every other way. How can I get him to eat more? I'm getting really scared about this. Is this normal behavior? How can I help my little guy? Any suggestions would be truly appreciated. Thank You for your time!

Hey,
I have some chihuahuas and whenever my femalea come into heat and until the pups are about 2 weeks he eats very little is any thing.It has never hurt him and the vet said it is just because she is in heat and she had puppies and he is excited.

i answered this question...as i said be smarted then the dog...it will eat when it's hungry enough.
